The American Legion Riders
The American Legion Riders are members of the American Legion who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. They can be found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycling events, and supporting the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members of the ALR come from the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion. The American Legion Riders were formed... ...to participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the Aims and Purposes of the American Legion. ...to promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social atmosphere for American Legion members who share the same interest. ...to use our Association to promote and support programs of the American Legion. The American Legion Riders is not a M/C, and does not practice M/C rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as is its parent organization: the American Legion. |

Urgent Message: Statement
IMPD Officer David Bisard | 1 Killed, 2 Critically Injured and barely misses one of our ALR Riders when Officer Hits Stopped Motorcycles
The American Legion Riders of Indiana are deeply saddened and frustrated by the events of this tragedy and we are hopeful; that in the end, acceptable justice will be served. We are first and foremost here for the victims and their families and hope that they will be treated fairly and that the ensuing investigation does not cause any further suffering. We as an organization will support the benefit ride organized by our Pendleton chapter on September 5th.
While we do and always have, supported Law Enforcement; we realize that the actions of the one (or few) whom have mishandled this investigation do not reflect the entirety of the police departments’ commitment and passion to protect and serve our community. Yet, the further handling of this investigation by our city leaders will be observed closely. |
