Ride E-News

Every week (during the warm season) I sent out an email to over a thousand riders with a comprehensive listing of every ride advertised on several outlets such as Steel-Horse, Lets-Ride and iBike Rally.  I like to ensure riders don’t miss anything and have an opportunity to give to their communities as most of them are charity rides.  If you would like to receive these emails, send me an email at RichFinish@Hotmail.com and I’ll add you to the list.  During the off-season, the emails become less frequent due to minimal rides organized.

Legacy Run

The fourth annual American Legion Legacy Run motorcycle tour roars out of Indianapolis on Aug. 18-23, looping through at least seven states and ending in Louisville, Ky., site of the Legion’s 91st National Convention. Hundreds of riders are expected to gather to raise money for academic scholarships for the children of servicemembers killed on active duty since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

For the first time, the Legacy Run will head east, moving from Indiana into Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and into Kentucky, arriving Aug. 21 in Louisville (final route planning is now under way). After completing the 1,000-mile circuit, the Legacy riders will join other riders assembling in Louisville to lead the 91st Annual National Convention Parade on Sunday, Aug. 23.

Online registration is now available on the Legion’s national Web site
(Click here for the downloadable registration form). Participants should consider travel times to and from Indianapolis and Louisville as they mark their calendars.
