Plainfield, IN 3rd Annual Ride for the Salute ~ Indiana Blue Star Salute
Hendricks County American Legion Posts Presents: Indiana Ride for the Salute. Saturday, May 17th, 2008 - Armed Forces Day. The American Legion Riders, Rolling Thunder, Patriot Guard Riders and the US Military Vets MC will converge in Plainfield, IN at Coachman's Restaurant and Harley Davidson IndyWest located at 6112 Cambridge Way Plainfield, IN 46168 317-839-4545 Staging begins at 12:00pm Ride begins at 1:00pm. All other riders are invited into the ranks of the American Legion Riders. We will be escorted nearly 40 miles through 5 towns associated with each of the Hendricks County American Legions; Avon, Brownsburg, Danville, Pittsboro, and Plainfield, ending in Clermont at O'Reilly Raceway Park. We will be the opening act of the Blue Star Salute ceremonies. The only cost is your respect to our Military and their families. To Benefit the Children of Soldiers Lost since 9-11. Donations for the American Legacy Scholarship Fund will be Accepted. There will also be many Military displays, Honor Guard, National Guard, Color Guard, The American Red Cross, Musical Entertainment, Concessions, Games & Inflatables, Vendors, Drag Racing and More!
